E imposibil să fim mereu pregătiți 100% pentru orice situație. Dar este posibil să luăm câteva măsuri care ne-ar putea ajuta în situațiile mai puțin plăcute care pot apărea când suntem la volan. Pe principiul „prevenim cât putem și-apoi tratăm“, notăm câteva ponturi.

În primul rând, acel dispozitiv care te scapă de purtatul centurii de siguranță și care se vinde în toate intersecțiile. Este un adaptor de centură falsă, pe care dacă-l folosești, nu mai auzi niciun avertisment sonor al mașinii și nici nu e nevoie să porți, efectiv, centura.
De asemenea, evită să pui folii pe geamuri. Dacă ajungi, din nefericire, cu mașina într-un lac, îți reduci șansele la supraviețuire. Geamurile cu folii se sparg foarte greu, deci nu vei putea părăsi mașina cât se scufundă…
Ce ar trebui să ai cu tine tot timpul?
Pe lângă trusa de prim ajutor, extinctorul și triunghiurile reflectorizante obligatorii, e bine să ții în portbagaj o sticlă de apă și o pătură, în caz că apar situații de urgență, precum inundații, accidente, pană în miezul nopții în zonă fără semnal etc. Totodată, din kit-ul șoferului precaut nu trebuie să lipsească un dispozitiv auto pentru spart geamuri și tăiat centura de siguranță. Ți-ar putea fi de folos în situații neprevăzute: pentru a sparge unul din geamuri, dacă trebuie să ieși urgent din mașină; sau pentru a tăia rapid centura de siguranță, în cazul în care tu sau cel care te însoțește rămâneți imobilizați.
